Ben Livingstone
Ben read French and Norwegian at University College London then trained as an actor at East 15 Acting School. Ben has performed at the Mercury Theatre in Oh What a Lovely War, Habeas Corpus, Wagstaffe the Wind-Up Boy, Nora, The Winter’s Tale and Absent Friends. Other theatre includes: The Dybbuk (RSC), Scarlatti in Paradise, Rasputin, Scarlatti’s Birthday Party, Scarlatti’s Revenge and Henry VIII Diary of a Serial Killer (all Natural Theatre Co), Live From Paradise (Station House Opera), Moonshiners, Rebecca and Having a Ball (Westcliff Palace), A Doll’s House and Romeo and Juliet (Eye Theatre), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Northern Sinfonia), Twelfth Night (AandBC Theatre Co), Overboard (Orange Tree, Richmond), Tales of a City and Ys (Theatre Mélange) and a one-man show on the artist Escher at the Stadsteater, Stockholm.
He has also worked as Music Director for Katie Mitchell, Kathryn Hunter and Marcello Magni on a number of productions including A Woman Killed with Kindness, The Dybbuk, Easter, Everyman, The Mysteries, Creation, Passion (all RSC). He appears regularly for Spectrum Theatre at London’s Science Museum playing Newton, Einstein and the astronaut Gene Cernan, and also in the Natural Theatre Company’s street theatre team performing just about anywhere. He lives in London with his wife, Kristin Hutchinson, also an actor in the Mercury Theatre Company, and their two sons.
