C16 house rebuilt 1822 by Brereton family. Staircase reputed to come from Nelson’s residence, Merton Place. Award-winning work includes remodelling of west front and renovation of all interior rooms. Gardens, planted for year-round interest, include formal beds, C19 greenhouse, haha, lake, woods and meadows.

Tour 3 hours, £13 including choice of teas, or coffee, with home-made cakes and fresh scones with home-made jams. Snowdrop tour £15 with soup lunch.
