Gina plays Elizabeth Sandry in John Steinbeck’s 1939 story of impoverished Oklahoman sharecroppers who lose everything when their farm is repossessed after a devastating drought. Appearing alongside Gina is Mark Field who received critical acclaim whilst at the Mercury in The Promise (Spring 2008).
Gina’s first role at the Mercury Theatre was as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet back in September 2002, since then she has gone on to become one of the core Mercury ensemble performers, gaining the position of Associate Artist last year in recognition of her work with the company.
In March this year Gina gave a compelling performance in The Lifesavers which transferred from the Mercury Studio Theatre to Theatre 503 in London, one of the hottest new writing venues in the country
