Buying your tickets
Tickets can be bought by cash, cheque, theatre tokens, and most credit and debit cards. Reservations without payment can be made, but must be paid for within five working days or one hour prior to the performance, whichever is sooner.
To book in person - come to the Mercury Theatre during our Box Office opening hours.
To book over the phone - call our Box Office on 01206 573948 and select option 2.
To book by fax or e-mail - send full details of your booking, your address and a contact telephone number. We will call you for your credit card details.

A booking fee of 80p per ticket applies.
Handling fee - tickets may be posted to you for a handling fee of 75p.
Exchanging tickets - Unlike many theatres, we will exchange tickets for another performance or give you a credit to the value of your seats for use at a later time, up to five days prior to the date on the ticket. Tickets must be returned to the Box Office. Credit must be used within two years of its issue date. Unfortunately we cannot give refunds.
Safety in numbers - due to theatre licensing regulations, we cannot allow any person without a valid ticket in to a performance, including ‘babes in arms’.
Concessions
We believe the Mercury Theatre should be accessible to all, so we offer some of the best discounts around. Concessions are available to young people under 16, full-time students, job seekers and people over 60 for selected performances. Concessions are not available in the green area of the auditorium unless stated. Discounts are also available for people with disabilities, please see Access for full details.
Only one discount available per ticket. Please bring proof of status when collecting your tickets. All discounts are subject to availability and offered at the management's discretion.
School Groups - Tickets for school groups are £7 for Mon - Fri performances of Mercury Theatre Company Main House productions, plus one additional free ticket for every ten booked.
Group Discounts - Generous group discounts apply to Mercury Theatre Company Main House productions (excluding panto). These are available in the Blue and Yellow sections of the auditorium. Excludes the first two performances of a production. Please call the Box Office on 01206 573948 to make a group booking.

Standby - Just £5.50. Young people under 16, full-time students and job seekers can purchase unsold tickets (if available) from one hour before all performances.
Pay What You Can Nights - Mercury Theatre Company productions in the Main House have a Pay What You Can Night. We suggest a minimum of £4. Tickets are available to personal and telephone callers from seven days prior to the performance. Tickets are limited to four per customer and are subject to availability. Access
Tickets for disabled customers including those who have impaired sight or hearing and the person accompanying them are just £6.00 for Mercury Theatre Company performances and £9.00 for all other shows unless otherwise indicated.
There is a low level counter suitable for wheelchair users at our Box Office.
We will hold seats for Audio Described, BSL and Captioned performances (in the best area for that service) up until two weeks before the performance and after this point they will be available on a first come first served basis.
There is limited disabled parking under the front canopy for blue badge holders which operates on a first come first served basis.
A lift situated along the corridor to the right of the Box Office is available for patrons who have trouble negotiating the stairs.

We welcome Assistance Dogs at all performances, please inform us when booking.

The Mercury Theatre can accommodate up to 4 wheelchair users in the main auditorium with ample accommodation in the Mercury Studio Theatre. Please state that you require a wheelchair space when booking.

An infrared enhancement system is available in the main auditorium at all performances. Our system is suitable for use with or without a hearing aid.

Cloakroom
We have a secure cloakroom facility. Bags and coats can be left in a supervised cloakroom for 20p per item.
Special Effects Warning
If you are concerned about any special effects (strobe lighting, loud bangs etc.) sometimes used in productions, please call the Box Office on 01206 573948.
Food and Drink
Orientation- the restaurant at the theatre offers a variety of cuisine from around South East Asia. Call 01206 368100 for more details.
Theatre Bar - the theatre bar is open 30 minutes before the performance, (except mid-week matinees) during intervals and after the show. Tea, coffee and a wide range of drinks are on sale. You can avoid the interval crush by ordering your drinks before the show.
Kiosk - the foyer kiosk is open 30 minutes before the show and during intervals and sells a selection of ice cream and confectionery. Coffee and soft drinks are also available.
Conditions of sale
1. The Theatre Management reserves the right to refuse admission
2. Tickets are sold subject to the Theatre Management’s right to make alterations to the performance or the cast rendered necessary by any unavoidable cause.
3. We regret that we cannot refund money. We may undertake to sell returned tickets on your behalf or to exchange them.
