Facilities at the Mercury

Disabled parking

We have a small amount of disabled parking outside the front of the theatre. This is available to blue badge holders on a first come first served basis. If you have any trouble finding the theatre, take a look at our How To Find Us page.

We do have a lift at the theatre, which is available to wheelchair users and those customers who have trouble climbing stairs. If you are likely to need the lift, please arrive at the theatre in plenty of time as the lift can get busy just before a show. You can find the lift to the right hand side of our Main Foyer.

We have a cloakroom which can be used for the safe storage of coats, push chairs and luggage during your visit to the Mercury. It is located in the Main Foyer and can be accessed with the help of one of our staff.

Food @ The Mercury

Food @ The Mercury is our on-site restaurant, serving food throughout the day and at weekends. They offer a pre-theatre menu which includes three course for just £15.95. For bookings call 01206 368100. More information (including menu) is available online.

We have a Bar and Kiosk, which opens 1 hour before the start of a show. These serve a range of drinks, snacks and cocktails. Cocktail vouchers can be purchased online with your tickets for Made in Colchester shows. Take a look around via our Virtual Tour!

Our Bar is also available to hire for conferences and events.

Digby Gallery

We have a small gallery space at the theatre which can be used as an exhibiting space or for drinks receptions. The space is also available for hire. The Digby gallery is open to the public from 10am to 6pm Mondays to Saturdays, and later on evenings when there is a performance. Read more.
