Join us for this family friendly workshop where you will be guided through the process of making a beautiful willow lantern with professional artist and maker Katie Kennedy.

After the workshop you will be able to take your new creation home to enjoy. However, we would also like all workshop participants to join us on Wednesday 13 November at 5.30pm to be part of the Colchester Christmas light switch on! Meeting at the Mercury at 5pm you will then carry your handmade lantern down Colchester High street alongside the rest of our procession performers, ending at Firstsite, where you will then be able to join the rest of the evenings festivities at leisure. More information about this event will be shared at the end of the workshop.

Please note: Participants under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult, and you will need to book two workshop spaces if this is the case. Under 18s will also need to be accompanied by an adult for the parade should they wish to be involved.
