SEND Holiday Club
This activity is for young people with special educational needs and disabilities only with bursary places only – see details below. This is specifically for Level 1 and Level 2 SEND. Please see descriptions here
For young people with SEND aged 7-11, our multi-sensory holiday club will get the young people moving and exploring the world around them through drama and dance.
The holiday clubs will improve young people’s confidence, storytelling and social skills and end with a sharing for parents, carers and friends to enjoy. Designed for participants in a fun, engaging and inclusive environment, ratios of young people to practitioners will be higher than other holiday clubs. As part of the club, young people will work towards an Arts Award Discover (a national recognised qualification). Through participating in arts activities and developing their creative and communication skills, young people will fill in their log books each day and will achieve a certificate which will be sent to them by post after the Holiday Club. Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification and Discover is the first step in the Arts Award journey.
The SEND Holiday Club is taking place at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester from 19th-21st Feb 2025, 10.30am-3.30pm. Please ensure the child wears something comfortable to move in and a water bottle.
A social story will be provided to you directly.
We are unable to provide one to one care in our sessions. Please ensure the ‘Access Needs’ section of the form is filled in as fully as possible to ensure we are able to appropriately support the young person during their time with us, thank you.
