About Fuse Theatre
Fuse Theatre is a pioneering Deaf-led company creating bold, bilingual work in British Sign Language and spoken/written English. Co-founded by Harry Jardine and Chris Fonseca, Fuse is committed to turning trauma into joy, blending movement, BSL, music and storytelling to create unforgettable, boundary-breaking theatre. In just a few short years, Fuse has grown from grassroots beginnings into an award-nominated company, with productions like Follow the Signs (nominated for four OFFIES and the prestigious Scope Award for Media Moment of the Year) capturing national attention.
Fuse’s work is rooted in access, representation and collaboration. Every project is built with inclusivity at its heart, showcasing the immense talent within Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent communities, while opening up exciting conversations with wider audiences. Whether in theatres, on screen, or in workshops, Fuse’s aim is to change the landscape of British theatre – one powerful, joy-filled story at a time.
Born To Die sharing
Powerful, raw and unflinching – Born To Die is a new sign-song that cuts straight to the heart of men’s mental health. A visceral collision of BSL, music and movement, it lays bare anxiety, shame and the fight to keep breathing – then reaches for hope. Witness a brave, cathartic new work-in-progress at our Mercury Theatre launch on 25 Oct. Book now – be moved and join the conversation.
