Meg Mortell is a West-End actor who trained as a wellbeing coach initially to assist students and graduates navigate the intricate and often turbulent industry. Last year her focus shifted as everyone’s mental health was under such strain. She now works with all ages, in any career to harness their mindset and take control when life feels so uncertain. She founded MPowa and now runs workshops alongside her 1:1 coaching.
Hear what Meg has to say about being resilient:
“Resilient. It’s that thing we get told to be. “Bounce back” – “Don’t take it personally” – “Pull yourself together.” But we’re also human and have to allow ourselves to feel, heal and then deal. As someone who has been an actor for many years, I have certainly had my fair share of rejection and disappointment, but I also now have a pretty trusty toolkit to help me ensure I have the capacity to recover. It’s not that life necessarily gets any easier or more forgiving, it’s that we get stronger and more resilient. Join me for an insight into the experiences I’ve had and the tools I’ve used over the years to build my resilience.”
