They will take you step-by-step through the process of becoming an effective and powerful speaker by providing insight into:
• The basics – Zoom setup, how to use the software, technical checklist
• ‘Theatre’ making – how to find liveness (interaction) and create as theatrical experience as possible online: play and experimentation; multimedia creativity; maximising the format and establishing the full scope of what it can do/how this relates to your story.
• Running a show – what does a Vision Mixer do? What are some of the challenges/pitfalls to running a Zoom show.
• What next? – additional software, tips and tricks, future horizons for Zoom theatre

Some of the Super Stories company will also be on hand for a Q&A after.

Super Stories is a theatre company founded by members of the London actors’ cooperative, City Actors, to explore how to maximise the theatrical potential of Zoom. George Rennie is one of its co-founders, and wrote, devised and vision-mixed their debut show, ‘Up, Up, Up and Away!’, an interactive Zoom adventure story for children aged 3-11 and their families.

The show was performed to schools and public audiences across the UK and beyond in association with Creation Theatre, Leeds Carriageworks, The New Wolsey, and Mercury Theatre, and received multiple five star reviews, with critics and audiences praising its inventiveness, imaginative scope and entertainment value. With the use of puppetry, original music, hand-drawn backgrounds and a mix of live/recorded action, it offered a unique, immersive experience for audiences, proving that digital content could be fully live, involved, and of a very high creative standard.

“UUUaA is more than just a breath-taking example of pandemic problem-solving, it has all the ingredients of a modern classic.” London Theatre 1 ★★★★★
