Join multi Olivier award nominee Sophie-Louise Dann for an evening of sparkling musical entertainment.
Celebrating the great British musical and revisiting some favourite characters that have earned her the reputation of being one of the West End’s favourite leading ladies.
West End credits include Celia in The Girls ( 2017 Olivier award nomination for Best Actress in a musical ; Phoenix), Paula Paxton in Bend It Like Beckham (Phoenix); Barbara Castle MP in Made in Dagenham (Adelphi); Diana DiVane in Lend Me A Tenor (Gielgud; 2012 Olivier Award nomination for Best Supporting Role in a Musical), Forbidden Broadway! (Menier Chocolate Factory/Albery) and numerous leading roles for D’Oyly Carte Opera Company (Savoy).
Favourite credits include: Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd (Derby/Colchester theatres) Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray (Curve); Dot in Sunday in the Park with George (Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris); Mrs Beaver in The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe ( Kensington Gardens); Closer Than Ever (Jermyn Street); Widow Corney in Oliver ( Grange Park Opera), The Original Chinese Conjuror (Almeida Opera/Aldeburgh Festival – world premiere); The Beggar’s Opera (Holland Park) Spend, Spend, Spend (West Yorkshire Playhouse – TMA Award Winner) and seasons at Chichester and Regent’s Park Open Air.
TV, Film & Radio credits include: Doctors, Trapped! – Ever After, Mr. Bean, Goodnight Sweetheart, The Phantom of the Opera.
Sophie is a regular guest artiste on BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night and as a soloist on the concert platform. In cabaret she has performed her one woman show in London, New York and LA.
