Mercury Creatives Conference
As the newly refurbished Mercury Theatre re-opens its doors, all beneficiaries of the Mercury Creatives (the professional development programme for creatives in Essex, East Sussex, Kent and Suffolk) are invited to come together for their first ever conference. The conference will focus on ‘Coming Together and Moving Forwards’ by looking at new processes, new perspectives, connecting with colleagues, presenting yourself and your work and a chance to see our amazing new spaces.

You will need to choose two sessions out of the following breakout sessions:

• Presenting Unlock – Anti-racism toolkit for the Arts – Inc Arts – (Repeated in session 1)
Please note that there are limited spaces for each session so will be offered first come first served. We will be display above if a session is full.
Mercury Creatives receive free passes to this event. Please enter the discount code provided by the project team at the checkout.
How to get here: Please see the map and directions on how to get to the theatre. We suggest for reasonable all-day parking from 9-5pm, please visit St John’s Car Park, Southway, Colchester CO2 7HB which is a 7-minute walk from the theatre. If you need accessible parking, please contact the Box Office.
Refreshments: We will be providing refreshments throughout the day. Lunch options should be selected when booking your ticket as well as providing any dietary requirements.
Childcare: As it is the school holidays, we are offering free childcare at this event. To register your child for the childcare support, please email email@example.com and will speak to you about arrangements we have in place to support your attendance.
Travel Contribution: We would like to offer those living over 30 miles away from Colchester travel expenses up to £25. (Proof of travel through receipts/ mileage will be required). Please send us an email for more information.
Recording Sessions: If you are unable to attend, we are planning on putting a standard static camera in the room so that these sessions will be recorded and made available following the event for archiving purposes.
