New Writing

Sit back, put your feet up and listen to brand new plays being read for the very first time, from the comfort of your own home.

We’re thrilled to be able to continue to tell stories and engage artists while our theatres are dark.
Each month we’re presenting readings of fresh new writing from some of the east of England’s most exciting wordsmiths.

Streamed live via ZOOM, you can listen and take part in a Q&A with the writers and actors involved.

You can find out more about this exciting new piece below:

By Tom Ratcliffe

There are a few things that we know about Evelyn: we know what she did; we know that we hate her; and we know that she’s still out there. Somewhere. She’s just not Evelyn anymore. She could be anyone. Even you.

Britain is on the hunt. Walton is on high alert… and Sandra’s just arrived.

Inspired by real life events, Evelyn is a story of mob-justice in modern day Britain, asking us, when is justice really served?
