Quartet in the Dark
As part of the 2016 Roman River Music Festival, the dynamic young Sacconi Quartet, resident throughout Colchester Week, give an intimate and intense performance of this dramatic late-Beethoven String Quartet from memory in the dark and half-light of the recently-refurbished Mercury Studio. Preceded by Graham Fitkin’s intriguing String Quartet, which the composer himself describes as ‘unusual’.
