This Easter Holiday, you can come and learn about working in a theatre!

In our three-day workshop, from Tue 4 – Thu 6 Apr, we will have industry professionals from various departments of the Mercury Theatre providing hands-on workshops and talks from backstage departments in costume design, production, producing and technical theatre.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who it looking to gain a better understanding of the theatre industry and the potential career pathways it could present for your future.

Time: 10am – 3pm

Free places So You Want To Work in Theatre – Child receives ‘Free School Meals’ are a ‘looked after child’, has an EHCP or low household income. 

If your child is in reciept of free school meals are a looked after child, EHCP or low household income then please complete this online form. You can book a place by self-verification, and we will confirm whether you have a place. We have 20 funded spaces available which have been held back for these young people and includes a free lunch every day. Places are first come first served and are limited.

Please note that you have to live in Essex to have access to the place.

Accessibility
All of our activities are accessible and inclusive and you are able to inform us of any additional requirements you have when booking or by becoming a member of our Access for All scheme here. Through funding from Essex Short Breaks, we will also have youth assistants on hand to support our MYC groups up to 18 years, plus additional SEND-specific activities such as Move and Groove and Party Nights.

We are following the current Government roadmap for a safe re-opening and we will continue to take all measures to keep audiences and participants safe, in accordance with up-to-date Government guidelines.
