Sound of Silk and Bamboo
Experience an evening of Chinese music showcasing string and bamboo instruments, singing and music from different regions, styles and ages.
The ensemble features Chinese trained musicians who have performed in venues ranging from London’s Southbank Purcell Room to WOMAD and WOMEX festivals in Europe.
In addition to traditional repertoires such as Shanghai Teahouse and Cantonese pieces, the group also presents modern pieces by contemporary composers.
