Avalon Comedy’s The Comedy Network is a monthly series of laugh out loud comedy nights, featuring the best up-and-coming comedians – we can promise you a great night with lots of laughs and talent.

Previous line-up guests have included Sophie Duker (Taskmaster), Jayde Adams (contestant on the 2022 series of Strictly Come Dancing), Simon Brodkin (also known as Lee Nelson) and many more.

The Fri 30 May line-up is Glenn Wool, James Trickey and Abi Clarke.

Glenn Wool
Glenn began his comedy career in his hometown of Vancouver in 1995… Made the move to London in 1998 and quickly became one of the rising stars, and household names on the UK & European comedy circuits. Winning over audiences globally and a TV favourite on the Melbourne, Sydney & New Zealand International Comedy Galas. Glenn was nominated for Best International Act at the New Zealand Comedy Awards and was twice nominated as Best Headliner at the UK Chortle Awards.

His impressive array of TV credits include John Oliver’s ‘New York Stand-Up Show’ as well as appearances on: The Green Room with Paul Provenza, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Russell Howard’s Good News!

James Trickey
Meet James Trickey, a rising comedian hailed as “naturally hilarious” (Edfringe review). With a sharp mind and a distinct take on life, he crafts a blend of silly gags and uproarious stories. Performing across the UK and at numerous festivals, James was the Chortle student comedy runner-up in 2018 and recently earned a spot on the shortlist for the esteemed BBC New Comedy Award. Chortle raves about his “magnificent” writing skills. Don’t miss the chance to witness James Trickey’s comedic brilliance that’s taking the stage by storm.

Abi Clarke
Abi Clarke is a stand-up comedian and presenter from Bristol who took to the internet in 2020 due to lockdown and achieved remarkable success. In her first year online, she amassed over a million followers across Instagram and TikTok, and now boasts a large following of 367k followers on Instagram, 893k followers on TikTok and 590k subscribers on YouTube. Abi was named as one of the eleven comedy stars of the internet by The Independent, and has had her viral sketches shared by the likes of E! News, Buzzfeed, LadBible, Good Morning Britain, and BBC One.

First and foremost a stand-up, Abi has made swift progress on the circuit. 2022 saw Abi selected for the prestigious Comedy Reserve showcase at the Edinburgh Fringe, and she now performs at some of the UK’s most prestigious comedy clubs, as well as supporting Russell Kane on tour.
