The Events
A Made in Colchester production
It was a feeling as precise and as physical as any feeling I’ve ever had. And the moment I felt it, I knew what it was.
What was it?
It was my soul leaving my body.
When did your soul come back?
It hasn’t…
Claire is a priest. She has survived an atrocity – a mass shooting. Now she must understand it.
Inspired by the tragedy of the Norwegian summer camp massacre in Utøya by Anders Behring Breivik in 2011, The Events asks where goodness and hope can be found in the face of unbridled anger.
Rationality, reason, and faith are all thrown into doubt in one of the decade’s most incendiary and important new plays, from multi-award-winning playwright David Greig.
The Events is a brand-new Made in Colchester Production in our Studio Theatre, directed by Dan Sherer (Bully Boy) and featuring a live choir.
