Thinking of hiring a space? This day is all about you.

We’re opening our doors to anyone planning an event — from away days to AGMs, script workshops to showcases — and we’d love to show you around.

Whether you’re a corporate partner, thinking about becoming one, or simply curious about what the Mercury has to offer, this is your chance to take a proper look around. From fully-equipped meeting rooms and creative workspaces to performance spaces that could host your next rehearsed reading, training session or script workshop, our team is here to show you how it all works — and how it could work for you.

Our Venue Hire Open Day is open to:

• Corporate partners and those considering membership

• Local businesses and community organisations

• Anyone who didn’t know we had rooms and workspaces for hire

• Curious minds who just fancy seeing what’s inside the building!

Come and join us in the Mercury Café Bar, where you’ll be welcomed by our dedicated events team. Tours of the building will run every 30–45 minutes, covering all of our hireable spaces — including our theatres, meeting rooms, workspaces and more.

After your tour, take a moment to speak with our experienced team about how we can support your next event. Whether you’re still in the planning stage or just exploring possibilities, this is a great chance to talk through your ideas and see what’s possible.

We’re so proud of our venue and dynamic meeting spaces, and would love to meet people from across Colchester and Essex who are planning, dreaming about, or simply exploring possibilities for their next event.
