Young People’s Workshop – Plastic

Show Information
Showing on:
Fri 27 April 2018
Mercury Main Theatre

Delivered by Poleroid’s Artistic Director Molly Roberts (Old Vic Theatre) and Associate Director Josh Roche (RSC Associate Education Practitioner), this workshop is connected to their show, Plastic. Delivered in the Mercury Theatre’s Studio space, this exciting 90 minute practical workshop designed for young people aged 14+ will be focused tightly on the play’s themes and boundary breaking spoken word gig-style.

Through fast paced games and drama exercises used to create the production, participants will discover their own creative voice and find a means of expression that speaks directly of their own generation and experiences. The workshop will culminate in participants inventing their very own unique pieces of new writing, developing confidence, creative and literary skills.

This workshop is free but only available when booked with a ticket to any performance of Plastic. Participants are encouraged to book the Friday evening performance at 8pm so they can also meet the cast at our post-show Q&A.
