Mercury General Auditions are back!

Mercury Creatives General Auditions

We are excited to announce our next General Audition day for Essex* artists.

This open call is a way of broadening our casting horizons when it comes to the brilliant talent living in the region. If you want to get on our radar, this is a great opportunity to meet – we will be asking you to prepare a speech of no longer than three minutes in length, so that there is also an opportunity for us to work with you in the room and get to know you.

The auditions are not for a specific production, but help us widen our knowledge of artists we might work with in the future on everything from workshops, R&Ds, creative engagement or talent development work and readings, community touring, or through to our theatre productions.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to see everyone but we will acknowledge your submission, keep it on file and contact you when there is an opportunity to audition.

Date: Friday 4th April 2025

Venue: Rehearsal Room at Mercury

Panel: Natasha Rickman – Artistic Director (Mercury) and Antony Stuart-Hicks – Senior Producer (Mercury)

If you are interested in being considered for a General Audition please send your CV and headshot, or Spotlight link via email only to [email protected].

Deadline for submissions is Monday 24th March 2025 at 10am.

For more general information please see our General Auditions FAQ’s or email us. Please note this opportunity is for professional performers (we define this as a drama school training or having one or more credits for which you have been paid for your work).

You can also sign up to Mercury Creatives, in which you will receive information on future opportunities, ticket deals for artists, masterclasses, networking events and other skill development opportunities.

*Essex artists means anyone who is from, lives or works in Essex.
