At the Mercury Theatre, we believe the arts should be accessible to everyone. From 17 – 24 March, we took part in the Big Give Arts For Impact campaign to help make that vision a reality.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our audiences and loyal supporters, we not only reached our £10,000 target but exceeded it, raising an amazing £10,330 for the Mercury Young Company SEND group. Whether you donated or helped us spread the word, we are hugely grateful. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without your support.
Steve Mannix, Chief Executive of the Mercury Theatre, said:
“Theatre has the power to transform confidence, communication and self-belief – and thanks to the incredible support of our community, we have not only reached our ambitious £10,000 goal, but exceeded it, raising an incredible £10,330 through the Big Give’s Art for Impact match fund campaign for our Mercury Young Company SEND group.
Thanks to this campaign’s success, the Mercury can continue providing a safe, creative space where young people with special educational needs and disabilities can build confidence, make friends and find their voice through theatre. This achievement – in just seven days – is more than a fundraising milestone, it’s a powerful reflection of what we can accomplish together as a community.
Thank you so much for helping us make the arts accessible to all, opening doors for young people to discover their confidence, creativity, and place in the arts. Because every young person deserves to feel included, inspired and celebrated.”
If you missed the opportunity to donate during the campaign, you can still support the Mercury Theatre by donating via our website.
