Your safety is our priority and we want you to enjoy your return to the Mercury. We are following all of the latest See It Safely guidance, alongside our own preventative measures, to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.

Please watch the video above and our team will take you through what to expect when you visit the Mercury. If you have any questions when you arrive, we are on hand to help too.

If you need to isolate please contact us and we will exchange your tickets. If for any reason a performance is cancelled we will arrange the refund of your tickets, allowing you to book in complete confidence.

While some rules are now relaxed we do still have measures in place for your safety and that of our team members:

In the light of recent developments we’re asking that everyone over the age of 12 wears a mask in the building at all times, unless they are exempt or eating/drinking.

If you have tested positive for Covid, please do not enter the building. If you have a booking you need to rearrange we will be happy to help and ask that you call our team on 01206 573948.

Our extensive refurbishment has expanded our easily accessible spaces and facilities; our light and airy box office, café bar, upstairs lounge and extensive outside piazza, have been configured to provide distance while creating a great atmosphere for a great day or night out and a comfortable return to the theatre. Our new air handling system floods these areas with fresh air directly from outside and adjusts according to the volume of our visitors too, maintaining fantastic air quality, while keeping you cool.

Hand sanitiser is conveniently available at all entrances and throughout the building.

When visiting our café bar please feel free to remove your mask once you are seated. Please place your food order at the bar, you only need your table number, and we will prepare your drinks while you wait and bring the food to your table as soon as it has been prepared; please note that we prefer cashless payments.

We are continuing with our extensive cleaning programme throughout our spaces and this includes ‘fogging’ of the auditorium between our performances.
