Applications for Autumn 2025 are now open!
Mercury Theatre launched the first Contemporary Craft Callout in 2022, and we have continued to do regular call outs for a chance to have your work reach our audiences in the spring and autumn seasons ever since.
Our Crafts & Gifts Shop partnerships aim to seek local artists to partner with to provide a collection of handmade items to be sold in our Box Office shop. We’re looking for a collection of items that not only reflects your artistic vision, but are also sustainable, ethically-made, and unique.
Initially, your items will be displayed for a minimum six month period, with the potential to extend if successful. This opportunity is ideal both for artists who are new to dipping their toes into commercial possibility, and seasoned artists who are hoping to broaden their audience.
We want to hear from a wide range of people who create unique crafts and gift items.
On average the Mercury sees 110,000 people walk through its doors every year, meaning this is a fantastic opportunity to have your work seen and sold!
An application does not mean you will definitely be stocked in our shop, but we will respond to all applications.
To apply:
• Provide a short biography about yourself, and tell us why you would like to be selected to sell your work at the Mercury? (400 words)
• Provide at least 3 and no more than 5 good quality images of your proposed collection
• Provide us with your pricing list and a description of your work (please be aware of the commission rates and take these into consideration)
• Provide us with a copy of your public liability insurance (this can be sent at a later date if you don’t yet have one)
• Complete the application form (found below)

• Products must be designed and handmade by the maker
• We cannot accept artwork that is AI generated
• You must live within 25 miles of the Mercury Theatre
• You must be able to restock if required
• If you are selected, you must be able to provide a copy of your public liability insurance
• You must be able to provide stock for the agreed period (this will be outlined on the application)
• There is no fee to display in our shop if your application is successful, but commission on sales will be 25% + VAT for items £25 and under, or 40% + VAT for items £25.01 and over.
• We let our customers know that items are sold on a no return basis, unless faulty
