Show Bio

On a cold December day in 1917, Lady Ottoline Morrell, crosses Bedford Square to call on Millicent Fawcett to express her condolences at the loss of a beloved sister.

Come with us to experience, Across the Square, a captivating, entertaining show that brings two historical figures to life.

This sell-out hit, from internationally award-winning playwright Non Vaughan-O’Hagan, directed by Alex Pearson depicts an imagined encounter between two sharply contrasting women, each of whom inhabits very different spheres.

As patroness of the Bloomsbury Group, Ottoline’s vast circle includes Prime Minsters and novelists, painters and philosophers, whilst Millicent has dedicated her life to the crusade for women’s suffrage.

Will they find common ground, shared values?

Two world views are about to collide over a glass of sherry.
