ASPIRE: STORYTELLING SUMMER SCHOOL
A 5 DAY WORKSHOP USING DRAMA,MOVEMENT, LIGHT AND SOUND TO DEVELOP STORYTELLING SKILLS.
Our ‘Aspire’ series of workshops will help young people explore their creativity, meet new friends, build confidence, and develop communication and social interaction skills. Sessions are taught by a range of arts professionals alongside staff with experience of working with young people with additional needs.
Participants that require one-to-one care will need to be accompanied by their parent/guardian or carer. We regret that we are unable to administer medication to young people.
We provide Social Stories for all of our Aspire workshops and sessions are held in accessible spaces.
Groups are limited to a maximum of 15 young people, with 4 staff to allow young people the space to explore their creativity and receive individual attention when required.
This workshop is for young people aged 7-12yrs with learning disabilities and additional needs. Our groups are inclusive and we encourage participants at any point on the spectrum to take part.
