Youth Theatre

Our youth theatre groups provide a friendly space for young people to develop performance skills, build confidence and explore their creativity. No experience is necessary - just enthusiasm!

Our Youth Theatres run weekly during term time and provide a friendly space for young people to develop performance skills, build confidence and explore their creativity. No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm.

Mercury  Youth Theatre’s mission is to provide all young people aged between 5 and 18 with an opportunity to explore their creativity and express themselves in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment – by primarily focusing on learning ensemble-based theatre skills through workshops.

This year our youth theatres will be exploring a variety of theatrical styles like improvisation, naturalism, comedy and physical theatre. After October half term, they will be developing their performance skills including, stage fighting, voice and movement.

Sessions are held in our state of the art Studio Theatre space or The Army Welfare Community Centre; and are led by highly trained practitioners with a range of experience in the creative arts.
