As part of this years Colchester Fringe festival, be involved with the Mercury Adult Company’s performance of The Tempest!

Working with Matthew Jewson (director, actor and a member of 2022s Mercury Directors programme), and Jaimie Pruden (Spite in Mercury Theatre’s Beauty and the Beast and Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty), 20 actors will work on an abridged version of The Tempest for multiple performances in the Colchester Fringe.

Members will receive over 20 sessions of rehearsals and skills workshops; two Studio performances of The Tempest and industry talks during the project.

Sessions will take place each Thursday between 7-9pm. Rehearsals closer to the performance may differ but this is to be agreed by the cast and creatives involved. The two performances will take place on the 2^nd and 3^rd November with specific times to be confirmed. The Colchester Fringe takes place from 25th October to the 3rd November.

After this project, the Mercury Adult Company will continue sessions every Thursday between 7-9pm. If you cannot or would not like to take part in the performance, but are interested in taking part in acting classes, join our brand new ‘Acting Up!’ group today!

The cost of £230 includes twenty 2-hour weekly sessions between April and November with an additional 6 hours of rehearsal close to performance, costumes, rehearsals with our technical team etc. Payment plans are available for this include pay half now, pay half later.
