Line-up

Kevin McCarthy

“The Ad Lib Expert” (The Stage), Club Mirror Comedian of the Year Award Winner, Lee Evans Tour Support

Once seen never forgotten, Kevin McCarthy remains one of the biggest and most loved performers by comics and audiences alike, compering and headlining at all the major Comedy Clubs in the UK. With an ever changing act, and the ability to find humour in any subject, Kevin’s warm personality and utterly relaxed stage persona puts the audience instantly at ease. His appetite for topical mirth is second to none and he will have even the hardest of crowds eating out of his hand, as well as watching their back for he’s as sharp as they come. Kevin has also provided support for Lee Evans on his tour and is also the regular warm up act for ‘later with Jools Holland’.

Mike Gunn

Star of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1) and ‘Voted one of the top 10 stand-ups in Britain’, Mike Gunn is one of the most recognisable man’s name and face in world comedy both through his deadpan character, but also the fact that he is one of the funniest men going. A misspent youth and a series of grim jobs, including one as an undertaker, cultivated his “dry as a bone” but rib-achingly funny outlook on life. Mike has worked with some of the biggest names like Jo Brand and Alan Davies, as well reaching cult status in almost every land known to man. Television appearances include Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (Series 2), Al Murray’s sit-com Time Gentlemen Please and Harry Hill’s TV Burp. He has also been a regular contributor for The Guardian. He has written for The 11 O’clock Show and Match of The Day.

Fiona Allen

Smack the Pony (Channel 4), We Know Where You Live (Channel 5), Goodness Gracious Me and The All-Star Comedy Show.

Fiona Allen has appeared in many sketch shows, including Smack the Pony (Channel 4), We Know Where You Live (Channel 5), Goodness Gracious Me and The All Star Comedy Show. She has also appeared in many television dramas including Dalziel and Pascoe and Coronation Street, as well as the sitcom Happiness alongside Paul Whitehouse. Subsequently she appeared as Sandra, in the film version of the Viz comic strip The Fat Slags, and as a panelist on one episode of Mock the Week. Allen appeared in the first episode of the second series of the E4 teenage drama Skins, playing Maxxie’s mum Jackie Oliver. Jackie is married to Walter who is played by Bill Bailey. She also appears in BBC drama Waterloo Road as Georgia Stevenson, playing the former lover of Tom Clarkson.

Twice Emmy winning actor and comedian Fiona Allen has been a mainstay of our TV screens over the past two decades.

Mike McClean

Mike Squeaky McClean is probably best known for presenting the Big Breakfast on C4, The roving reporter for Richard and Judy for 7 years as well as presenting a whole host of television shows for the BBC, ITV, C5, sky1 and Nickelodeon. Mike also appeared in the office Xmas special with Ricky Gervais, as Father Tony in Shameless and Fin’s Dad in My Big Fat Diary.

Mike originally trained as an actor at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, however having had enough of being a tree and spending hours learning how to breath which he does in his sleep, Mike gravitated towards stand up and quickly broke into the stand-up circuit with his very funny very clever Mind reading act.

Mike is one of the best and funniest Mind readers on the circuit and is always busy either on tour or traveling the world with his bizarre mind reading act. Mike remains lovable and down to earth individual who has stayed true to his comedy roots, his razor-sharp delivery has made him a favourite both on the circuit and in the corporate world. If you like Derren Brown then you are going to love Mike, he’s like him only cheaper and a little naughtier, Mike doesn’t have magical powers or psychic ability and neither does he ever work with stooges or plants to achieve his work. The unwitting participants on his show are entirely genuine and easily fooled.
