Mercurial Takeover: Fresh Knickers and a Gin and Tonic
Writer/Director – Heather Davis
Producer – Julia Pargin
Composer – Georgina St. George
A hilarious fast-paced comedy shines a light on real women in their 50s, telling personal stories that their mothers would not have told!
Cheryl, an active woman in her 50s, would go out out if she could, is trying to navigate her menopause alongside her close friends. With this significant age comes numerous physical and mental symptoms that no one told her were on the horizon. We experience Cheryl’s daily issues through her interactions with a host of characters as she tries to cope with her change.
To help her on her journey to self-empowerment, we encounter her muse: a flamboyant, cool and rapping hipster, who appears unannounced to guide her, as of course, Davina McCall was unavailable.
So, hold onto your knickers, have the ice cubes at the ready, as you’re going to need a tall G&T in the bar after!
This event is part of our Mercurial Takeover, celebrating homegrown talent and will be presented as a rehearsed reading.
