This open call is a way of broadening our casting horizons when it comes to the awesome talent living in the region. If you’ve not been seen by us previously and want to get on our radar, this is a great opportunity to meet over a quick chat, a monologue or a song and any other talent you’d like to show us! We are thrilled to have guest panellists from other theatres in the region joining us – so the potential opportunities for you are even greater.

Join us for our Mercury General Auditions. We are excited to announce that we are running a season of General auditions for East Based actors, the next is January 2023. This is a way of broadening our horizons when it comes to casting from the awesome talent living in the region.

This is a chance to meet with and audition for Creative Director Ryan McBryde and Executive Producer Tracey Childs over a quick chat, a monologue and any other talent you’d like to show us!

The auditions are not for a specific production, but will help us widen our knowledge of actors we might work with in the future on everything from workshops, R&Ds, creative engagement work and readings, community touring, through to our theatre productions.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to see everyone but we will acknowledge your submission, keep it on file and contact you when there is an opportunity to audition.
