We are excited to welcome back Avalon Comedy after a successful launch of The Comedy Network and our summer Fringe Preview specials last year.

The Comedy Network is a monthly series of laugh out loud comedy nights, featuring the best up-and-coming comedians – we can promise you a great night with lots of laughs and talent!

Previous guests have included Sophie Duker (Taskmaster), Jayde Adams (contestant on the recent series of Strictly Come Dancing) Simon Brodkin (also known as Lee Nelson), Eleanor Tiernan (who has had many stints at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and many more.

This months line-up includes Sam Campbell (He has won The Barry award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and the main prize at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival), Bella Hull (appeared on BBC’s Stand Up for Live Comedy and ITV’s The Stand Up Sketch Show) and Jacob Hawley (BBC’s Ladhood, featured on The Stand Up Sketch Show, and appeared on The Russell Howard Hour).

Bella Hull

Bella Hull is a London-based stand-up comedian and writer and one of the UK’s most exciting young comedians.

Bella regularly plays to sell-out crowds across the UK and has appeared on BBC’s Stand Up for Live Comedy and ITV’s The Stand Up Sketch Show. She recently performed at the Utrecht International Comedy Festival and her writing has been featured on BBC Radio 4’s Newsjack, Flux Magazine and she is the advice columnist for Quadra magazine.

A former member of the Cambridge Footlights, Bella begun finding success on the competition circuit, winning the Yellow Comedy Young Comedian of the Year 2019 and placing in the 2NorthDown New Act Competition 2020.

Jamie D’Souza

Having started performing comedy in the summer of 2016, Jamie has quickly established himself as a rising star on the comedy circuit.

He has reached the finals of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny? and The Musical Comedy Awards, as well as being shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award.

Jamie was also the runner up at Hastings Fringe New Comedian Of The Year.

Jamie’s stand up has been described as a mix of short stories and one liners, delivered with an instant likability and an understated confidence. Covering a range of topics including veganism, his mixed race heritage and coming to terms with entering adulthood. Coming from a musical background, he is adept at both straight stand up and musical comedy.

Jamie has appeared on the BBC Asian Network ‘Stand Up Show’ which TX’d live on radio and featured on the iPlayer and ‘Comedy Central at the Edinburgh Fringe’.

He currently performs at many clubs all across the UK, including The Comedy Store and Up The Creek.

Sam Campbell

Sam Campbell is an Australian stand-up comedian and actor. He has won The Barry award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and the main prize at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival.

Campbell both performs stand-up comedy live as well as creating comedy web shows. He made a short series that was broadcast on Comedy Central Australia and guested on ABC TV’s The Checkout.
