Last week the Mercury’s Aspire Club Nights kicked off in style.

The club nights are for young people aged 11 -18 years old with learning disabilities and additional needs. They provide a fun, inclusive space to meet new friends and dance the night away.

DJ Kilowatt kept the tunes playing all night, from the latest hits to 80’s classics and Disney favourites. Some serious shapes were thrown and moves were perfected amidst the bubbles on the dance floor!

Much fun was had at the face paint and glitter tattoo stand (included in the price of admission), with young party-goers transformed into tigers and dragon kings! We had fun making glowstick accessories and playing party games.

Sadly the night had to end, and everyone left with tired feet but big smiles. We can’t wait to see them next time!

Our next club night is on Saturday 23rd June and will feature a DJ, disco lights, glowsticks, face painter, glitter tattoos, photo booth, and indoor games.

We are also running 2 storytelling summer schools for young people with learning disabilities. These are a great way for young people to explore their creativity, meet new friends and develop their communication skills.
