The Mercury Theatre and Colchester Borough Council are celebrating following the announcement that they have secured an award of £864,000 from Arts Council England as an investment in Colchester that will enable the theatre to be completed and re-open following its £10 million Mercury Rising refurbishment project.

Adam and Jenna from the Mercury team are attempting to bring warmth and joy to care home residents this Christmas, even while singing outside in the rain to ensure that current guidelines are followed. The first of these concerts has been met with wonderful positivity (and participation!) from the residents of Aveley Lodge Residential Care Home.
