We’re looking for individuals, couples and families to become Mercury Rising Patrons to help us complete the final stage of Mercury Rising!

With our exciting new Mercury building due to open this Autumn, we can now happily say that the finish line is in sight and we are on the home stretch of Mercury Rising! The fundraising for this project has been very successful since the campaign was launched at the house of commons at the end of 2016, and the total amount required to fully refurbish and extend the theatre is £9.8 million. The majority of this amount has been secured through investment from outside Colchester Borough, but we have also been warmed and incredibly grateful to our consistent audience members and community for also supporting the vision with their donations.

With this in mind, we are offering a final opportunity for our supporters to get involved and help close the project. Mercury Rising Patrons will be regarded as esteemed members of the Mercury Rising family, and in exchange for your generosity, you will also receive permanent named recognition in a specially designed feature in the new building, plus invitation to both an exclusive tour and the VIP reopening in September. You can become a Mercury Rising Patron with a one-time payment, starting at £1,200.

We are fully aware that only a small number of existing supporters will be able to join us on this particular venture, but all contributions will be recognised as being of significant help to opening our new home. Mercury Rising has been the Mercury Theatre’s vision for over a decade and we hope our audience members agree that being months away from seeing this vision realised is especially thrilling for Colchester!

If you are interested in becoming a Patron, or would like to learn more about the opportunity, please contact Abbi Roberts, Head of Development on 01206 245496 or [email protected]

If you are unable to join our Patrons but still wish to support the final stage of our journey, visit our support page for more ways to get involved: www.mercurytheatre.co.uk/support/

Any contribution is always greatly appreciated, thank you.
