Applications are now closed for Regional Associate Producers Programme

The Regional Associate Producers Programme is an exciting new programme providing full-time, paid placements for four regional Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Associate Producers wishing to develop their producing skills and experience. Working in partnership with seven regional theatres (Contact Theatre Manchester, Belgrade Theatre Coventry, Derby Theatre, Dukes Lancaster, Luton Culture – The Hat Factory Arts Centre, Mercury Colchester, and Richmix London) the programme, which is supported by Arts Council England’s Sustained Theatre Fund, will provide high-level support and mentoring for the regionally based producers over a minimum of 18 months. Each producer will produce one new show over the period of their associate role with projects including sustained community engagement and artists’ development as a core component, and will reflect a strong ‘sense of place’.

The four host venues are:

Mercury Colchester (30 month placement)
Belgrade Theatre Coventry
Derby Theatre
Dukes Lancaster

The three other theatre partners (i.e. Contact Theatre ManchesterLuton Culture – The Hat Factory Arts Centre and Richmix London) may take the touring productions and will also be involved in elements of the artist development / outreach activities to support the overarching ambitions of the programme – i.e. to diversify the cultural workforce and reach wider diverse audiences across England.
